Establish national and international link to increase capacity, quality and effectiveness of education and training in social forestry in Vietnam.
VNAFE
To become an interdisciplinary network that links training, research and development of Agroforestry in an effective manner in Vietnam, has a close cooperation with other networks, relevant governmental and non-governmental organizations within the region and worldwide, meets the demand of sustainable natural resource management, contributive to poverty reduction and food security in the uplands
Objectives
SFTN
Sharing information and experiences in education, training, research and extension to develop social forestry.
Capacity building for lecturers, staffs in education, research and extension.
Deliver and provide service in training, research into community forestry, social forestry.
VNAFE
To maintain and develop the network with an organizational mechanism that creates interdisciplinary linkage, inter-communication in Agroforestry training, research and development.
To finalize inter-communication Agroforestry training programs at different levels of study.
To contribute to the Agroforestry development in view of the landscapes in the uplands, and to study possible payments for environmental benefits and poverty reduction, food security of the Agroforestry model.
To be able to mobilize different resources for the development of an effective information exchange system
To cooperate closely with both domestic and international networks and organizations relevant to Agroforestry.
