Detailed subject frameworkOnce the curriculum framework has defined the main learning objectives and contents, a detailed framework for each subject needs to be defined. The detailed subject framework defines the learning objectives for each session. Based on the learning objectives, the content and methods of each session are determined. Thus, the detailed framework ensures the linkages between learning objectives, content, teaching methods, and learning materials.

Workbook
The workbook reflects the content (subject knowledge) of the teaching. This subject knowledge has to be designed so to enable the students to fulfill the learning objectives. It has to be relevant and up-to-date.
Individual teachers or a small group of teachers write the workbook. The draft workbook is given to selected stakeholders for feedback. The comments and suggestions are then integrated in the workbook. The workbook is revised annually based on the experiences made during teaching, the feedback of students and the evolution of the practice.

Objectives:
Learning materialsThe learning materials are all materials that support the learning, as for example: overhead sheets, handouts, posters, and case studies. These learning materials are designed to complement the content and thus help to reach the learning objectives. The learning materials are developed by individual teachers or small group of teachers and then sent for feedback to stakeholders.

Assessment system
The teachers develop an assessment system to measure the fulfillment of the learning objectives. The assessment system should not only consider the quantity of knowledge the students have gained during the lessons, but also require them to make use of their skills (for example: analytical skills, problem-solving skills, synthesizing skills...).
