PCD for Vietnamese conditions - process
In Vietnam, the curriculum of a major is defined in parts by two curriculum councils (one for the group of majors and one for the major) and for the other part by the university. The curriculum councils define the curriculum standard: that means they set the frame for the curriculum (proportion of subjects required for the major by the ministry/university, proportion of basic/professional subjects, duration) and list the compulsory subjects for a specific major. The remaining subjects are defined and developed by the university itself.The process described here concerns only the subjects developed by the university.
